There is just something about a delicate soft pink flower or a bold in your face fuchsia bloom that can make you smile. It is the second most popular wedding flower color after white due to its' incredibly wide range of flower choices and bloom color. Because of the color choice available pink flowers can accent most any wedding theme, soft and pretty for a vintage look to bright and punchy for a rock and roll glam look.

The variety of different shades of flowers adds a punch of color to any wedding or bridal bouquet. The mix of flowers can be soft and pretty or bright and vibrant, by adding in flowers that contrast or blend with the dominant color. Think shades of hot pink and lime green flowers or yellow and purple blooms or how about a mix of bright orange and fuchsia pink flowers to create your wedding bouquets. Try something different and have fun adding a splash of color to your wedding.

fLOWER GIRL AND RING BEARER

There is nothing cuter than including a Flower Girl or Ring Bearer into your wedding. They look so precious in their special outfits! Allowing them to carry a few flowers is often the perfect final touch. While the Flower Girl basket is still popular, Modern Petals often recommend a Pomander ball for girls under 6. We make these balls out of tulle which is available in a broad range of colors, and glue flower blossoms into it. This creates a lightweight virtually indestructible Pomander ball for them to carry. For the Ring Bearer, we ensure that we use a safety pin to attach to his label and often suggest a unique floral or moss covered Ring Pillow, this is a nice unexpected detail.

Corsages and Boutonnieres

Personal flowers to wear such as Corsages and Boutonnieres are a great way to acknowledge all the people who are near and dear to your heart or who have helped make your day extra special. Styles have really changed and you don't have to settle for a boring rose with babies breath anymore. New innovations such as colorful wire and pins or sparkly diamond sprays add interest and drama to any Corsage or Boutonniere. Wedding ceremony flowers are often overlooked as many feel the cost of the flowers vs the short ceremony time is money better spent elsewhere. We, at Modern Petals, feel you should think twice before you nix the idea, flowers at the ceremony really add to the overall ambiance and we can create pices that can be transferred to the wedding reception site to give you more bang for your buck.

Reception

The reception is where having flowers is a necessity. They can soften the harsh lines of a banquet room and add a subtle scent that relaxes people. Think about mixing tall and short table centerpieces to create drama and interest in a room. If your budget doesn't allow for a grandiose centerpiece, try augmenting a simple floral centerpiece with a colorful runner, scattered petals, candles or a mirror.
